Rachel Lowell is part of the female group “MARA” which made it to the semifinal of MUZIKA MUZIKA 2022.
Following the success of its first edition in March, the festival received a total of 170 applications this year, an increase since last year’s submissions. Each submission was evaluated, with 35 songs being shortlisted in the first eliminatory phase.
The 35 short-listed songs were narrowed down to 20 songs during a live audition at the Valletta Campus Theatre on the 14th` November, which took place in front of seven judges, different to those from the first evaluation phase.
In the semifinal night the group “MARA” will be performing their song “Aħjar Hekk Inkella Għar”, written by Emil Calleja Bayliss and composed by Philip Vella.
